Terms of service

1. Who we are

The online shop thewoolcatcher.com is operated by WIP TO FO, S.L. ("The Woolcatcher", "we", "us"), Spanish tax ID B21884507, registered office at Calle Patricia Urquiola Hidalgo 2, Esc. C, 33007 Oviedo (Asturias), Spain, registered with the Commercial Registry of Asturias, Sheet AS-64156. Email: hello@thewoolcatcher.com · Phone: +34 646 19 38 41. All our details are available in the Legal notice.

2. Scope

These Terms and conditions of sale (the "Terms") govern the purchases you make on thewoolcatcher.com as a consumer. They include our Returns and withdrawal, Shipping, customs and taxes, Legal guarantee, Digital patterns, Cancellations and pre-orders and Promotions and discounts policies.

You must be 18 or over to make a purchase. If you are buying as a business or professional (for example, a shop or for resale), please write to hello@thewoolcatcher.com: wholesale purchases are subject to specific terms.

We recommend that you save or print these Terms. The applicable version is the one published when you place your order; later changes do not affect orders already placed.

3. Language of the contract

You can conclude the contract in Spanish, English, French or German. In the event of any discrepancy between language versions, the Spanish version shall prevail, without prejudice to the rights you have under the applicable law.

4. How to place an order

  1. Select the products and add them to your cart.
  2. Click "Check out" and enter your contact details and delivery address.
  3. Choose the shipping method and payment method.
  4. Review the order summary: products, total price including taxes, shipping costs and, where applicable, customs duties. Before paying, you can correct any information by going back to the previous steps or editing your cart.
  5. Click the payment button. By doing so, you place an order with an obligation to pay.

After payment, we will send you an order confirmation email, at which point the contract is concluded. We keep the electronic record of your order, which you can access through your customer account or by requesting a copy from us.

We may decline or cancel an order — informing you and refunding any amount paid in full — in the event of lack of stock, an obvious error in the price or description, well-founded suspicion of fraud, or inability to ship to the destination given.

5. Prices

Prices are shown in euros and include the applicable Spanish/EU VAT. If you browse in another currency, the amount is converted automatically; your bank may charge currency exchange fees that are beyond our control.

Shipping costs are shown before you complete your purchase. For shipments to the United States, the final price includes all import duties and taxes (DDP). For other destinations outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes and customs clearance fees are not included and are payable by the recipient (DAP). See our Shipping, customs and taxes policy for details.

If a price contains an obvious error (for example, a clearly derisory price due to a technical fault), we will inform you and you may choose between confirming the order at the correct price or cancelling it with a full refund.

6. Payment

We accept credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payment is taken when you place your order. Payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments and PayPal; we do not have access to your full card details.

7. Delivery

We ship from our warehouse in Oviedo, Spain. Delivery times and costs are set out in our Shipping, customs and taxes policy. Unless otherwise stated, we will deliver your order within a maximum of 30 calendar days of its confirmation.

Products travel at our risk until you, or a person you designate, receive them.

8. Right of withdrawal

You have 14 calendar days from receipt of your order to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason. You can exercise this right using the "Withdraw from contract here" button on our website, the withdrawal form or any other clear statement. Full conditions are set out in our Returns and withdrawal policy.

9. Digital patterns

PDF patterns are governed by the licence and refund terms on our Digital patterns page.

10. Legal guarantee

All our products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity: 3 years for physical products and 2 years for digital content. See Legal guarantee and faulty products.

11. Characteristics of natural products

Our yarns are made from natural fibres and dyed in batches. They may show slight variations in shade between dye lots, an occasional knot or small irregularities typical of the fibre, and colours may look different depending on your screen. These characteristics are inherent to the product and are described in more detail on our Legal guarantee page. We recommend buying all the yarn for a project in the same order so that, as far as possible, you receive the same dye lot.

12. Liability

We are liable to you in accordance with the law. We shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by force majeure beyond our reasonable control (for example, transport strikes, natural disasters or border closures); in such cases we will inform you without delay and, if you wish, you may cancel the order with a full refund.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it, nor the rights granted to you by consumer protection law.

13. Customer service and complaints

You can contact us at hello@thewoolcatcher.com or on +34 646 19 38 41 (working days). We respond to complaints within a maximum of 15 working days. Official Spanish complaint forms (hojas de reclamaciones) are available on request.

We do not participate in any consumer arbitration scheme. If we cannot reach an agreement, you may contact the consumer services of your place of residence, the Consumer Arbitration Board of the Principality of Asturias (Junta Arbitral de Consumo del Principado de Asturias) or, if you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country; we will consider our participation in the proposed procedure on a case-by-case basis.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer residing in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. You may bring any dispute before the courts of your place of residence.
