Materials
- 2 skeins of Nova yarn
- 6.5 mm knitting needles
Instructions
1. Cast On
Cast on 6 stitches.
2. Stitch Pattern & Edge
Knit in garter stitch, worked flat.
On every row, when you reach the last 3 stitches:
- bring the yarn to the front
- slip the last 3 stitches purlwise without knitting
This creates a clean, structured edge.
3. Increases (First Half)
To shape the triangle, increase every 4th row.
Place a marker on the increase side to stay oriented.
Increase method:
- knit the first 3 stitches
- from the 4th stitch, knit one stitch through the front loop and one through the back loop (kfb)
Continue increasing every 4th row until the first skein is finished.
4. Decreases (Second Half)
Join the second skein.
Now decrease every 4th row on the same side.
Decrease method:
- knit the first 3 stitches
- slip the 4th stitch from the left needle to the right needle without knitting
- knit the 5th stitch
- pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
Continue decreasing every 4th row.
5. Finish
When 6 stitches remain on the needles:
- bind off
- weave in all ends
